I am a PhD Student in Political Theory in the Department of Government at Cornell University. My research explores the role of perception in shaping political worldviews and disagreement. My dissertation focuses on the Hong Kong diaspora in the US, and explores the meaning-making endeavors and cultural ways of seeing that underpin individuals' construction and transformation of political worldviews.
To date, my work has been generously supported by the Mario Einaudi Center for International Studies and the Cornell Graduate School.
Prior to my PhD studies at Cornell, I worked in museum education at the M+ Museum of Visual Culture and Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Art in Hong Kong, specializing in exhibition interpretation and public programming for adult, family, and school audiences. I hold a MA in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research, and a BA in Studio Art and Philosophy from Carleton College.
